Sweet Treats: Spoons Yogurt

Today my mom came down to College Station to help me shop for supplies for the cake, and after we decided to go get Spoons Yogurt. (Jesse isn't a huge frozen yogurt fan, and I love it, so I take every chance I can get it when Im not with him!). Spoons is pretty much the same as Yogurtland, but it was started in College Station. Always like to help out small businesses! :) So anyway below is a picture of my yogurt! I wish I would have gotten a picture of my moms too! Hers was way prettier because she just had fruits.

Today I decided to get three flavors! Lemon, Strawberry Kiwi, and of course Cake Batter! Its always my go-to favorite! For toppings I decided to get Kiwi, Cheesecake Bites, Mango Balls, Yogurt Chips, and Coconut! I hadn't tried the coconut until today, and I LOVE it! Definitely going on my yogurt from now on!!!

What do you guys put on your frozen yogurt? Or do you like frozen yogurt at all?

So, while I was on the phone with my mom today, she asked me if I would make a cake for my grandmother's 88th birthday party (apparently I'm the go-to cake girl now!). Of course I said yes, I thought it was really sweet that that was all that my grandmother said she wanted from me, AND it's always great practice! :P Before I make a cake, I always look up a bunch of different pictures to get an idea of what I might want to do this time... And since Pinterest has gotten more popular, it has gotten even MORE fun! I think I would look at cakes all day if I didn't make myself stop. So anway... here are a couple of my favorites so far...

I think this cake is SO PRETTY, but my painting skills def. still need a little cleaning up. I'm not so sure I'm at this level... YET! ;)

I think that any of these cakes would be perfect too. Super classic!

I really like the flower cut outs on this one... and they look totally feasible! It's like this cake just screams SPRING!

Ok... So I know this is mean, but I found this when I looked up "Birthday cakes for grandmothers", and I thought it was pretty hilarious! I would never do that though... ;)

One Line A Day

Decided to spend the day catching up on journaling, drawing, and other creative stuff. When we went to NOLA this summer, I picked up this sweet little Five Year Journal from Urban Outfitters, and I love it! There is a picture of it below. I was going to take a picture of my own, but I have the worst headache right now! NO. GOOD. Anyway, I guess it will be a lazy day for me!

Ok guys, Im officially back! :) I've been posting things on tumblr, but sometimes I just need a little bit more of a "real blog". So I decided to revisit my old blog, and I must say, it feels great! A lot of things have changed recently, but instead of posting one long drawn out blog post, I think I'll just wait and let it all unfold!

But for today, I'll be telling you about my Valentine's Day. Of course, first on the to-do list was gifts! Well actually Jesse was impatient so he opened his a couple days before, besides Im awful at keeping a gift from someone! I always want to give it right away! But I still had mine, so I got to open it then! As soon as I saw it was James Avery, I knew I would love it no matter what! Haha! So anyway, I opened it, and inside was the cutest, tiniest, most perfect little hummingbird charm! It was really special to me, because Jesse always calls me his hummingbird. :)

Jesse and I decided to finally try out a restaurant that we had been wanting to try for SO long, and I am SO glad we did! It's called The Lemon Wedge, and it was A-MAZ-ING! If any of you live in the Bryan College Station area, you have to try it! We had stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, and bread with garlic butter (the best I've EVER had), and then I ordered stuffed salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies, and Jesses got a ribeye with a baked potato! Both of us almost cleaned our plate. I was already so full, but it was Valentine's so we HAD to get dessert! I had lemon meringue, and Jesse had a triple chocolate cake.

After dinner, we RUSHED (we were running a little late because of the dessert, but it was SO worth it!) over to the outdoor theatre down the street to go see Breakfast at Tiffanys! PERFECT Valentines movie? I think yes! The best part was that IT WAS FREE if you brought a receipt from any of the restaurants in downtown Bryan! Don't you just love free things?

After the movie was over, we came home and watched How I Met Your Mother on Netflix before we went to sleep! I was such a perfect Valentines!!!
